Wie die Cuyahoga County Public Library (Ohio) bekannt gibt<\/a>, wird die Bibliothek ab kommender Woche allen Kunden eine kostenlose App zur Verf\u00fcgung stellen, \u00fcber die sich s\u00e4mtliche Gesch\u00e4fte rund um die Ausleihe und die Informationsbeschaffung abwickeln lassen. Codename: CCPL Mobile<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Die Web-App wird f\u00fcr alle internetf\u00e4higen Handys verf\u00fcgbar sein und folgende Dienste anbieten:

\n– Darstellung von Rezensionen und Inhaltsangaben

\n– GPS-gest\u00fctzte Suche nach angeschlossenen Filialen

\n– Schnellzugriff auf die CCPL-Pr\u00e4senzen auf Facebook und Twitter<\/p>\n

Laut eigenen Angaben ist die CCPL die “erste \u00f6ffentliche Bibliothek der Vereinigten Staaten”, die eine App dieser Art einsetzt. Entwickelt wurde sie \u00fcbrigens von Boopsie Inc. (Infoseite<\/a>) \u2013 dieses Unternehmen hat in der Vergangenheit bereits WorldCat Mobile<\/a> realisiert. CCPL-Chef Sari Feldman ist nun erst einmal v\u00f6llig aus dem H\u00e4uschen:<\/p>\n
